Preface
Publications that come out in the form of the
Policy Brief Series, are particularly the outputs of DPMF's
comparative researches, conferences and workshops.
These
Policy Briefs address their messages to all the three constituencies
of DPMF, namely, policy-makers, civil society organisations and training
institutions (DMIs/IPAs).
The
Policy Brief Series cover different issues and their impacts on the
institutionalisation of democracy and good governance in African countries.
Amongst the issues dealt with in the Policy Briefs are the new emerging
leadership in civil society, civil service reforms, poverty strategies
and efforts at deepening Africa's integration into the global economy.
The
Policy Briefs will address not only governments but also civil societies
in the hope that both will benefit from and consider seriously the suggestions
put forward in the Series.
